Snowsport Scotland Civil Liability Insurance

All members ski clubs affiliated to Snowsport Scotland and members of the Snowsport Scotland Coaching Scheme are covered by insurance for Civil Liability (which includes Professional Indemnity and Third Party Liability). This cover is valid world-wide while involved in any aspect of skiing (except for ski jumping). Cover is up to £5,000,000.

Members are insured for liability arising out of their activity as Club or Coaching Scheme members, competing, training, leisure or business and including member to member liability. The cover known as Civil Liability is far wider than normal third party providing indemnity against errors and omissions in instruction or advice: i.e. full professional indemnity, plus libel, slander and fraud liability.

Limitations do exist. This cover applies to UK residents (including BFPO) only.

Personal accident and skiing equipment is not included. If you go skiing abroad you will need a ski travel policy to cover medical, rescue and ski/snowboard equipment insurance. Snowsport Scotland has arranged a good value, comprehensive winter sports insurance with Go Travel Insurance.
