Artificial Slope Ski Instructor Refresher (ASSIR)

Course Aim

All persons who hold the Artificial Slope Ski Instructor Award are required to attend a refresher course every three years to revalidate the qualification. This course will also update and inform you of recent developments in the fields of skiing and instructing and help improve your personal performance.

This intense and enjoyable one day course contains primarily ski-activity sessions, supplemented with an evening programme of presentations and discussion.

These courses are also open to people that need to do technical resits.

Course entry requirements.

Course participants should:

• Possess the Artificial Slope Ski Instructor
award.
• Possess a first aid certificate (which meets the Snowsport Scotland First Aid Requirements).
• Be a member of the Snowsport Scotland Coaching Scheme (or that of Snowsport England, Snowsport Wales or Northern Ireland Ski Council).

Course Dates and Cost

ASSI courses are run from spring through to autumn. Course dates for Spring 2008 will be posted here when confirmed.
