Cross-Country World Junior Championships Team Selection

Following recent selection races in Norway the SSGB Selection Panel have picked the following skiers for the Cross-Country World Junior Championships that will be held at Szczyrk-Wisla, Poland on 3rd - 10th February 2008.

Junior Women

Fiona Hughes (Lindley,Yorkshire)
Sarah Young (Huntly, Aberdeenshire)

Junior Men

PJ Barron (Huntly, Aberdeenshire)
Alastair Duncan (Kingussie, Highland)
Andrew Musgrave (Insch, Aberdeenshire)
Simon Platt (Kendal, Cumbria)
Simon Spencer (Churchdown, Gloucester)
Alex Standen (Huntly, Aberdeenshire)

Last year Alistair Duncan became the first British skier to take part in the World Junior Championships while several the team took part in the European Youth Olympics. The skiers, Head Coach Roy Young & Squad Manager Al Dargie are to be congratulated for achieving the selection criteria. We wish them the best of luck for February.
