Scottish Ski Club racer, Charlie Guest (14), recorded a memorable win in the16th Trofeu
Borrufa in Andorra last week. Charlie won her gold in the Slalom, the first time
a British Girl has achieved such a result at this level for 23 years. The race
attracted entries from 137 children from 21 countries. Jenny Shute, GB
children’s team manager said: “This was an outstanding victory for Charlie and
is just reward for a great deal of hard work on her part. She skied with
maturity and confidence to take the gold medal.”
Jane Harvey, chief executive of Snowsport Scotland (the governing body) said:
“This is a fantastic result for Charlie, one of our most talented young skiers.
We would like to offer her our congratulations!”.
